Growing up, I had an unhealthy obsession with giving stitches to my Stretch Armstrong doll. I’d throw it from the highest tree I could climb and then use my mom's sewing kit to stitch it up.
This could be a sweet (mildly concerning) story about how I became a doctor. But since I hate the sight of blood, M.D. was off the table. Instead, I played to my strengths: every time I ruined another doll, I convinced my mom to buy me "just one more". While I might have been terrible at stitches, I was great at hustling product off the shelves. My advertising career was born.
